Clay and wood is a great concept from the husband (wood) and wife (clay) team Richard and JoAnn Patterson.
While they work in different mediums, they both share a common interest in beautifully made, simply designed pieces with nods to Asian and Scandinavian design.
He makes stunning, simple chairs that have hints of mid-century and touches of rustic, "function first" elements. We like his low-back armchair ($1400) and the new chair (RIGHT:$1200).
She throws pots and more. Some with simple modern lines, some more intricate. We love the teapot and simple mugs.
