Cleaning with Toothpaste

11-28_toothpaste.jpgWhat readily available home product can clean iron, enamel, rubber, fabric and chrome? Toothpaste isn't just for your pearly whites. The very fine abrasive nature of your dental cleaner (non-gel) can help polish and clean the bottom of a cool iron, shine your bathroom or kitchen chrome to a sparkly sheen, and also clean the sink itself of stains (while also eliminating any lingering odours from both the sink and your hands). I've even used some Colgate to clean the scuff marks off the white areas of my kicks. Toothpaste is the old school Magic Sponge, so if you need a whitening cleaner in a pinch, make haste and grab the paste.

Toothpaste is excellent for cleaning & shining silver too. I use it to clean my silver earrings. Do not wet the object before applying a thin coat of toothpaste, rub gently with your fingers or a wash cloth and rinse with water.
