Dyson DC07 in Pink!

080807dyson.jpgThink Pink! When you think Dyson, the image of that trademark bright yellow and grey probably comes to mind. But now Dyson fans looking for a softer side can now purchase the popular DC07 in pink! Exclusively at Target (online only), The Dyson DC07 in Pink is a special edition, and $40 from each sale will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation...

Aside from the pink color, everything else is the same as the normal DC07. It has the bagless design ("that never loses suction") and includes a HEPA filter. $399 here.

Cute! I can see a market for adapter kits to change color...

If you believe in standardized ANSI testing, Dyson is a bad buy, however.

Not that it's poorly designed, it's just that no Dyson models pass the Carpet and Rug Institute's test for cleaning ability.

Personally I recommend only "Green Label Certified" vacuums to people who I sell rugs to.

I posted a link to their results on my blog. Here's the direct link to the "Green Label Certified" machines.

The most inexpensive one I found is a Hoover Wind Tunnel Self Propelled ($200 at Target). Not that I recommend that one or anything, just mentioning it.
