Natural Flax Dryer Sheet Alternative

atlaflaxsheetsN15735121.jpgWe've posted about making your own fabric softening sheets, but if you want a pre-made alternative you might be interested in this 6 pack Etsy offering from lollipopguild:
...each pillow is a mix of fresh herbs and flax which will leave your fabric refreshed without toxins. Each pillow can be used for about a month and then can be use as a sachet all over the home and car. Your cloths will come out smelling of lavender.

*As pointed out by a reader, these are currently sold out, but we still wanted to post them as a "green good idea", hopefully inspiring some of your to make your own. And perhaps with enough interest lollipopguild will offer a few more in the near future.

I used a similar sounding product from Trader Joe's that was supposed to leave your laundry smelling like lavender. It did... sort of... if you used your imagination. An old boyfriend sent his sheets and towels out to a laundry's fluff and fold service and they came back smelling awesomely of lavendar, but I didn't get the name of the laundry to inquire about the product before we went our separate ways.

Does anyone have a product they can recommend? I don't like the "lavender and ___" mixes of the fabric softeners currently on the grocer's shelves, I'm looking for a straight lavender scent.

Thanks!!

I don't use dryer sheets. Hasn't been a problem so far. What I used to notice in the winter was that my hair would get staticy, but I asked about that the last time I got my haircut and purchase some sort of hair stuff that they recommended, which solved that problem even better than laundry sheets ever did (plus no yucky smell).

Mrs. Meyers lavender dryer sheets are great (though expensive) and smell like the real thing, not some pseudo-flowery version of lavender.
