Reader Review: Flushable Bathroom Wipes

032108wipes.jpgIn our house, we've been big fans of Flushable Bathroom Wipes. They've been great for quick clean ups all over the bathroom. Aside from the toilet, we've also used them around the sink and also for little spills on the floor. Since these have been around for awhile, we're curious if you've been using them and what's your take? (Survey after the jump)

Our favorite is the Method Flushable Wipes, (we love the eucalyptus scent.) But we know there are other brands out there. Any other recommendations? We've also heard that some people have had problems with the wipes not actually degrading, resulting in backed up toilets (yuck). Has this happened with anyone else?

I feel wasteful when I use them, but they're so convenient, and my bathroom is cleaner for it.

I think they are a bit wasteful as are many of the convience products that have been created.

They are wasteful, but I have never had a problem with them flushing. I only use them for "touch-ups"--not regular cleaning. And the marketing is correct--they are a great way to get a lazy guy to clean.

I love them. I wish they came in a refillable pop up type container like baby wipes do.

i tend to use a bit of spray cleaner and a few squares of TP.. which is.. flushable.

it still feels wastefull.. my mother suggested using my collection of divorced socks as rags. that way, i dont have to feel bad about throwing out all those old socks I only have one of.
Moms are smart.

I love the Method bathroom wipes, but I always forget to flush them!

These are a waste - When folks talk about "disposable income", this is exactly it.

This is what old threadbare washcloth/dishcloths are for - cleaning the bathroom and tossing them in with that day's laundry...
...and Oh, Look! No money spent!

i know it's not green and i'm going to burn in hell but i love the yellow clorox wipes - it makes it easy to clean and i don't like dragging cloths or sponges around a bathroom.

Joan, while burning in hell at least the cooling wipes will be refreshing :-)

These items are a major problem for sewage treatment plants and sewage infrastructure.

microfiber cloths with a spritz of Seventh Generation's 'all purpose cleaner'....can't beat that combo.

As the mother of a eight year old son with poor aim, I love these! But, be warned! I used them on my white hex tile with grey grout and it bleached the grout a whitish grey.
