Umbra Loft For Target

020309_umbra01.jpgWe've been posting about the home design available at Target lately and also wanted to include the new Umbra Loft collection that caught our eye. Featuring accessories, accents, wall decor, kitchen items, and furniture, Umbra Loft is a well designed and fun collection of home goods at affordable prices. Check out a few after the jump....

Target is the happiest place on earth! When I over hear someone saying, "Yeah I am going to Target after work," I am usually the first one saying..."Can I like, totally come with?" Cuckoo Clocks are A-W-E-S-O-M-E, esp. these modern ones.... I think I will go to Target now, get some popcorn and walk around and purchase Valentine's Candy that will just make me plump and happy!

Thank you for Letting me Post a Comment,

They also offer a really fun chess set. I wonder how the quality is. Anyone seen this stuff?

Wow, I love every one of those. I am dying for the wine rack and I don't even keep wine in the house.

Too cheap looking. Some pieces look like the Hot Topic home collection. I love Target, but I would pass on these.

I love Target and generally find Umbra's stuff pretty decent quality and design for the price. I must be getting old because I think this collection totally misses the mark. In person I think the quality looks shoddy and the design isn't even meh. It looks like it is all cut out of cheap black construction paper as part of a bad art class. And I LOVE black and black accessories.

I didn't see the piggy bank in person - it looks like it could be interesting. I did see the candlesticks - they don't look elegant or fashion forward or loft, they just look crude and uninteresting. Ditto for the ottoman.

C-

Now, the garden seats in their other current design items, those are nice. Good colors, design, finish.

I saw this collection at my local Target and was very unimpressed. and I usually loooove Target!

it looked too cheapie & too teenage-girl to me. didn't Delia's have similar bedroom collection a few months back?

I agree with the majority; I love Target, but I think this collection missed the mark.

the piggy bank, which i have seen in person, is by far the best of the collection. makes me want to spend money to save money!

I have purchased a number of Umbra accessories over the past few years - everything from picture frames to soap pumps (two!) to toothbrush holders to kitchen sponge holders, etc. I realized the other day that every single Umbra item I own has fallen apart within a year! The soap pumps, well, no longer pump!

I wouldn't buy another Umbra product. Their stuff looks cute, but for those who like style actual quality for your money, Umbra disappoints.

Decent design, but the worst of Chinese quality which really bums me out because some of it (and the items on Umbra site) look nice.

I wasn't pleased with the majority of the collection, but I did purchase the piggy bank, which I love.

I think a big part of the problem with this collection is the display. At my Target, I don't even take the time to look at the product because the display is so icky. On here, I like the clock and the macro accent table.

I've had similar experiences to Scotty214. The Umbra items I have purchased in the past did not hold up. I would not be inclined to buy their products again, although I like their style overall. But style is not worth much, without function.

(just noticed they are an advertiser here)

I love Target and all, but whenever I see these in the store, the only item I'm really attracted to is the spice rack. This collection was a big miss for me.

On a different note, has anyone noticed the Orla Kiely collection in Targets yet? I went to mine today and only saw the magazine racks, totes, and shoe storages.

I also love Target and noticed the Umbra collection after seeing the ad here. It was disappointing. Not a single thing that I longed for. This stuff doesn't even look that great in the photos here.

I thought this looked good for a college dorm room. It doesn't mix with high end things(which I only have a few) at all. I wanted to like it...

I saw this collection at Target and couldn't get over how CHEAP it all looked. Very low quality. It looked like it came belonged in a dollar store or something. Too bad, really...

Target is for college students and teenagers. They can buy the latest fad for cheap and do it again next year. I will buy coat hangers or a can opener at Target but not furniture.
