apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

blik This Wall Winners!

The ballots are in, and here are the winners of Apartment Therapy's blik This Wall Giveaway and Contest:

First Place $250: Tennille, AT:NYC
blik: We loved that Tennille used 3 different patterns and had some very creative design plans: she played the Iron Vines design off of the design in her lamp, for example, and in fact, she created a pattern with Flock we don't think we've seen before. We love that she used the graphics to spruce up her white furniture and continued the pattern onto her walls. Also, great photography.

Second Place $150: Jessica Sexton, AT:SF
Jessica told a story with her blik and photography. We see the family prepping the walls and their little boy basically "mocking up" with one of the Fly. Then they thought to start their design outside, creating the effect that the birds were flying from outside to inside the house. We love that the father is finishing up the job while their son is sleeping (shows how easy application can be). And the photo journal tells a complete story.

Third Place $75: Jenny Guan, AT:SF
Again, we love that Jenny and her boyfriend tell a story. They knew they wanted to cover their open closets and blik became part of that plan. They started with a sketch (we love) and weren't afraid to put the blik on a canvas -- nice mixed mediums! We also like that they flipped one of the Fly birds to incorporate it as a seal in their wallscape.

Honorable Mention (blik t-shirt): K aka "Sriracha", AT:Chi
We love the quality of her photos, the application photos and how the simplicity of even large dots can infuse visual interest in a space.

A thank you to each of the winners and participants, the great folks at blik, and everyone who entered! We hope the winners above inspires you to blik your own wall, choosing from a wide selection of blik wall decals that fit just about any decor, including bliKids for kids' rooms and Re-Stik reusable decals. The only limitation is your imagination.

All except for the last one look like a bad hunting lodge. Did you mix up the order of winners?
