Easy and Affordable Curb Appeal Ideas!
Austin

061709habitat-01.jpg Austin has seen a surge of great modern remodel and design build projects for the past few years, especially in East Austin. One of our favorite companies turning out these good-looking houses is the team behind Habitat Modern, who buy, renovate and sell real estate here in Austin. They employ an arsenal of ideas to improve the exteriors of the houses they renovate, and we love them all!

061709habitat-02.jpg With the goal of creating accessible modern design and remaining budget conscious, you can certainly see the style in Habitat Modern's renovated properties. Upon closer examination, one can see that their ideas are brilliantly simple, and could definitely be implemented by homeowners looking to jazz up their own home's curb appeal. And depending on your landlord's approval, you could even use some of these tips for apartments, too!

061709habitat-03.jpg Obviously giving a fresh coat of paint to the exterior of your home immediately refreshes the look of it, and Habitat Modern's homes feature modern neutrals like gray and bright accent colors like green. Paired with a modern-looking fence, these two ideas could easily make a big impact on the look of your home. We also noticed all the great details in their properties. Things like non-standard address numbers, distinctive exterior light fixtures and unique mail boxes all contribute to a fresh, affordable and modern look. Of course, a few plants like cacti and succulents add to curb appeal, too!

What affordable things have you added to the exterior of your home to improve the curb appeal of your house or apartment? Do you have any great tips or ideas that you tried out and loved? Let us know!

I have been inside a house here in Austin very similar to the top image, although it had a green front door. I must say that the house was cute as can be, and the backyard was nicely landscaped too!
