If you take La Cienega south of Washington Boulevard you end up in a sea of warehouses. One of them is filled to the brim with all things Moroccan.

If you take La Cienega south of Washington Boulevard you end up in a sea of warehouses. One of them is filled to the brim with all things Moroccan.

It's a 60,000 sq. foot warehouse featuring handmade textiles, furniture, lighting and things for the garden all from very exotic locations. You might recognize some of the elements here in Philip Dixon's house tour. If you go, be prepared to spend some time just walking the aisles that are piled high with anything you could possibly want.

how are the prices?

yeah - for ex. how much can someone expect to pay for that green basket in the 1st pic? That'll give us all an idea of what's up.

Hey ljh and detamour--
I'll have to doublecheck, there weren't obvious price tags and the salespeople were busy when I went in. I think I remember from a while ago that they aren't dirt cheap but there's some room to negotiate.

HA! I work in the same alley as Berbere. In fact I have made furniture for them. Their showroom has some INSANE stuff. Really beautiful things. Couldn't say how much the basket would be. But it's worth a trip over to see. I can tell you that their stuff is not cheap. It is nice. From my point of view, those terms are mutually exclusive. I am sure most would argue with me though.
Go look and see. They are very nice people. The basket might be totally reasonable.

Well guys thanks for the kind comments, please say hello when you come by next time and visit. We'll make you our special Moroccan tea! Your site is awesome!!
To help solve a question on whether or not we are reasonable. God I hope so! The green basket is $45 dollars, it's a vintage chinese corn basket.
Check out our new district (La Cienega South Design and Arts District) that we just launched. It's all the great sources in our area banding together to help people find them all. check out WWW.LSDAD.ORG
