50th Anniversary Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair Miniatures

12170816DESIGN01.jpgHere's a gift idea for a friend or family member who appreciates the great design of Arne Jacobsen, but can't necessarily fork over the serious moolah to purchase their own full size version. 1:6 Design has released a 50th anniversary line of miniature replicas (we're talking about laser scanned for proportional accuracy, folks) this year, available in an assortment of colours and patterns designed by the likes of Paul Smith and Kenzo to make for real nice decorative piece or paperweight...

You could buy a set and serve hard boiled eggs in them. :-)

They look pricey. A set of these chairs for a hard boiled egg service would probably cost as much as buying the real thing. But anyhow it would make for really cool Barbie furniture I suppose.

These chairs are surprisingly more comfortable than they look. The styling is undeniable though.

I could buy a real chair for $275. Or more than one that needs refurbishing.
