How do the Swedish do it? Like a Cyndi Lauper song, time after time they keep churning out the finest modernist fabric patterns. Case in point: Stockholm's design duo, Bantie, has a collection of twelve fabric patterns, all inspired by their Aunt Bantie, who once sold "exquisite fabrics and exclusive lingerie" [raises eyebrow]. So colourful...almost tasty...Bantie's fabrics unexpectedly have a Southern Californian quality to them that's got me tempted to send a email "hullo" and inquire about a pillow or two.
