We love the Flexiwall system from Pottery Barn Kids. There's something about the bright orange or navy pieces, the way you can design it to fit your own needs, that makes organizing fun. But there's one part of the system that we're really crazy about, that could find a place in those nooks and crannies where the entire Flexiwall system won't fit...

Giant multi-coloured rubberbands, held in place by tacks, nails or screws, form a fun way to hold and display notes, postcards, photographs, to do lists and receipts. While you can certainly order your rubber bands, as well as the complete Flexiwall system, from Pottery Barn, many of us have plenty of rubber bands lying around the house, salvaged from flowers and packages, to construct our own version of this.

We're going to try it here using black rubber bands to hold small bits of paper as well as mask the phone jack.

It would be super easy to create something similar to this for less than $10 using some basic hardware (hey, even just screws!) and something like Can Bandz from the Container Store. I picked up a package of these from there one day b/c I thought it was a novel idea, but I use these things all the time for various purposes!
