Using Decorative Paper to Transform An Object

We're in love with Tove's Norwegian home. Colorful accents (pinks, blues and purples) mixed up with floral prints that skew more vintage chic than anything else. What we find inspiring among all the prettiness are Tove's crafty tendencies...

An upstairs hallway becomes the perfect spot to display the family photo albums. But instead of just leaving them as-is, Tove wraps each one in decorative paper. An accent wall behind the grouping gets a draping of floral fabric (great solution for renters). Downstairs, the kitchen trash cans get a makeover with crafty decoupage. For this project, Tove cuts a series of hexagons and transforms a trash can by overlapping the shapes across the surface. We think this is a great idea for a small space when it helps to have a trash can mix in with your home's decor.

Must admit, I was pleased to see that the covered volumes are albums and not books! This works well and looks very pretty.

That first picture would have been nice if they hadn't done the books. The wall looks fabulous.
