We've been blogging a lot of wallpaper lately. It's a great way to add sparkle to a room. After the job's done though, we're left with the scraps. Of course, we keep some of them to use as patch but we thought, why not put it to work? We'd also consider buying a roll of some of our favorites just to use around the house...

Love this post! I easpecially loved the hanging feather!

Is there any way to order wallpaper in sizes larger than a sample, but smaller than a double roll? Most papers I'd want for decoration are expensive, and seem to only come in double rolls. Since I would never use that much, I've resisted buying wall paper for decoration only.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing as Josie. I have a bookcase bar project in mind, like the one above, and I'd like to use wallpaper, but I don't need a whole roll. I'm in NYC--is there anyplace that I could rummage for wallpaper scraps?

josie and jgardner, you could try using a decent quality wrapping paper. they usually come in rolls of 25 feet or less and are much less expensive than wallpaper. Many paper stores sell 24" square sheets of really lovely paper for even smaller projects.

they have printed papers as well as textured and metallic papers... my favorites are the contemporary prints under the prints & patterns section.
