We're guessing that this magnifying glass chandelier is a safe bet since it's out of the sun's reach (otherwise your home might be in trouble). It's got a turn of the century vibe going on--and we dig it. And with Leah giving us other magnifying glass decor options earlier this week, we thought we'd continue the theme with this DIY chandelier. Lots more chandeliers to make at home after the jump!

so many DIY 'chandeliers' all the time! 99% of them look like garbage, sorry...
not everything looks good when it's multiplied by 100 and then hung from the ceiling!

If it were made of antique metal and real-glass-lens glasses, it would look awesome.
Instead it is made of cheap plastic. Ugly, ugly, ugly.
Can we please stop with the trash pretending to be light fixtures, now?

You could hang it over a campfire for a sure light-up.

If the sun shines in the window and hits one of the magnifiers at the wrong angle, will it cause a fire?

I took this at a friend's house. I love it.
It's not DIY, it was from Habitat - a high street chain in the UK...
They've had it up a few years and nothing's burned down, and haven't heard of any fires elsewhere else either...
