Katie's Dresser Overhaul

One of our favorite items to makeover is a dresser. We enjoy finding inexpensive gems at thrift stores and painting them bright white.. Katie had a similar idea when she received this hand-me-down dresser, but we have to give props to her spin on the transformation...

Because the drawers were falling apart and wouldn't close properly, Katie decided to use fabric from her stock to section off the front of the dresser. We love how the white mixes with the tan of the fabric to create a french country chic vignette. Katie now has a place to store eyesores out of view while adding an extra design element to the small space. A source of DIY inspiration, we included a revamped stool Katie made from burlap fabric and stencils that has a similar color palette. Her blog, Philigry, is chock full of helpful home improvements. You can find them all here.

Very nice! Would you mind sharing the paint color that you used inside the nook? Also, are your floors ceramic tile?

The color I used inside the nook is cottage white, by Behr. It is my favorite white and it look great on furniture as well.
The floors are ceramic tile, from Home Depot.
