We were reintroduced to the current version of This Old House by Boy and have enjoyed watching the show. We also enjoy checking out their super informative website with great content and tons of DIYs. We spotted a DIY for "building your own adirondack chair" and it looks, well, not so hard!
We wanted to share it with you and ask if this really is as easy as it looks? While we tend to be more of a person who has 3 or 4 screws left over after a piece of furniture is built (yea, that's us, we're owning up to it!), we think it's a neat project. Have any of you readers attempted a project like this - building an outdoor wooden chair? Would love to hear from you! Click here to check out the full project over at This Old House and leave your thoughts below in the comments.

I have not built one myself, but I have heard they can be fairly complicated to assemble. Although this drawing looks pretty simple to follow. if you get lazy.... http://www.adirondackauthority.com/adirondack-chairs.html

Assembling the adirondak chair and ottoman I bought from World Market was fairly easy. It took about 45 minutes to assemble (including break for Pacifico).
I don't have the talent nor the patience to build one from scratch.

I built one from directions in an old issue of ReadyMade. Fairly easy, except for the angles. Somehow I screwed up the angles between the seat and legs, so it took a bit of trimming and mutzing to get it to sit flat. I did like that it could be built with a minimum of power tools: miter saw and drill.
