"Look!" Molding-defined Wall Art Idea!

wall-art-1.jpgD.I.Y. projects are a personal and rewarding way to create a focal point in your home. My favorite – wall art. This is an easy, fun and affordable way to create or design for your home. Check out this striking piece of wall art spied at the elegantly cool modern décor store, Weego Home in Venice, CA.

The painted molding, use of wallpaper and mirror placement really creates definition while adding texture and dimension to the wall. You can easily customize this look to work in your space!

Cool idea, but not here!
The painted molding gets lost on top of the busy wallpaper.
The wallpaper looks good on its own.
The molding and mirrors look good on their own.
But the two definitely don't mix together very well at all.

I also love this wallpaper. I want to use it as a backsplash in an old cabinet I'm refinishing. Wish I could find some scraps so I don't have to buy a whole roll...

I really like it, too.

But does anyone out there dislike it when people, or maybe even their friends, merchandise their homes like their favorite stores?

Apartment Therapy - this is atopic I would like to see a dicussion on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know how to create this wallpaper art? If so could you help me. I don't know how to do it, what materials to buy (except for the wallpaper) and where to buy it?

Thanks!

Shelly
