Look! Recyclable Tyvek Fabric

040709_tyvek.jpgIf you're looking for an incredibly durable and eco friendly textile to use for your next project, look no further. We mentioned the recycleable Tyvek fabric when we saw it at last year's ICFF and now it's on shelves ready to be turned into wallcoverings, clothes, curtains, tablecloths, you name it. The best part it's non toxic and completely recyclable:

Available in 3 colors, Loop By The Yard is made of Tyvek(the stuff that those paint suits are made of, also concert wristbands). Tyvek is spun bonded high-density polyethylene that is completely recyclable. When you order from Mio, each order comes with a prepaid envelope for shipping scraps back to be recycled. We love the idea of using it as an outdoor fabric, as a tablecloth, a lampshade, a shower curtain or a plant doily. And at $13/yard it's a pretty good deal for something so indestructable. Have you used it?

Find all the details on the MIO site.

Here are some other things made of Tyvek:

Tord Bontje's Hanging Lights
