Reupholster an Ikea Sofa
How Tos From Eddie Ross

So anyway, this friend of ours is looking for a inexpensive sofa and of course her first thought is Ikea but she wants something a little more glam.
"What if you buy Ikea and then reupholster it?," I suggest.
"The whole point of this is to spend as little money as possible. Do you realize that tossing in reupholstering will kick things up to the next level?"
Not if you follow this tutorial from Eddie Ross...

With a little help from a staple gun, an Exacto knife and couple of good online resources, he helps a friend turn a basic Ikea sofa into something completely glam. For complete step-by-step instructions, click here

I've been wanting to make a cover for one solsta that was removable, but its becoming impossible. I might give up and staple it to the frame. I love the sofa but hate the dark gray.

I'm very VERY happy with the fabric Kramfors we got @ Ikea, we were considering the Manstad for the longest time, but it looked so dirty. I too checked Bems, and nothing was on it at the time for that style. Great post!
