Kourtney's Revamped Chairs

For some folks, seeing the potential in a piece of second hand furniture is second nature. Kourtney is one such gal--taking a pair of Craigslist chairs and revamping them. For most, it's all about discovering someone else's castaway and reviving it--which is extremely rewarding (and well worth the effort).

Kourtney fell in love with the detailing of the chairs and their sturdy nature but knew a transformation needed to take place. She tells us that the chairs were covered in itchy, stained fabric. With a few simple changes, the pair are brought back to life with a coat of semigloss black paint and cream velvet fabric. Now, the chairs feel regal and chic--a far cry from their previous condition.

Great work! I dream of being able to see that kind of potential in things.

Excellent use of paint on 'nothing special' found chairs! Kudos for steering clear of trendy busy fabric, and extra kudos for not painting them white or (gah!) turquoise.

I loved the before! But the after is pretty great, too. The drapery treatment is also fab; you got style girl!

Beautiful! They look like the type of chairs that would cost several hundred dollars new.
