The Paul Smith Ping Pong Table

031308_paulsmithping.jpgWe've been trying to rationalize getting a ping pong table for the past six months, but now we're thinking we should just make one! The Paul Smith Ping Pong table was designed by Hunn Wai and it's made solely from materials found at flea markets.

The table is a secondhand dining table that has been refinished and painted accordingly. The net is collapsible (lace!), ideal to stow away when you need a time out.

Why would anyone need to talk themselves into getting a ping pong table?? Even IF you live in a small space with no room for one ... ;-)

"We've been trying to rationalize getting a ping pong table for the past six months..."

who's "we"??

this new layout's editing style is really driving me nuts!

heather, i'm kinda with you...i heart all of the AT editors, but i find it really irksome when they all say "we", knowing full well that they mean "i" (unless they're talking about themselves whoever else lives in their household). it just sounds...weird.

but on topic, i LOVE the idea of using lace for a ping pong table. so fun and girly...

I like the lace! I never would have thought of that...of course, now I'm mentally making a list of all the ways that a ping pong table could be modified in order to make it more interesting/unusual. Ooooh, a new project!
