They're made of "100% biodegradable and compostable sugar cane fiber (bagasse) that is a byproduct of the sugar refining process." The utensils are made of 80% potato starch and 20% vegetable oil. They're also microwavable, freezer safe, oil resistant, and capable of handling hot foods and beverages.
