Dress For Dinner Napkins Makes Any Meal a Formal Affair

070708dressnapkins.jpgFile this one under "silly, but amusing". Yeah, they're exactly what they look like: paper napkins with ties printed on them (come on, where's the bolo and bow tie options?). These could be fun for your next supper soire, for both kids and adults alike. Our only wish was they were available as cloth napkins for reuse (perhaps an easy DIY project using inkjet transfers and white cloth napkins).

somehow I'm not amused. horrified might best describe my reaction. and not just because napkins are placed on the lap.

Here's a prime example of why I look forward to your posts, Gregory. I love this.

also, one could DIY this with thrift store ties sewn onto cloth napkins...possibilities abound!

ROFLMFAO!!! I love this!!!
i think it's curious that someone is actually "horrified" by this. napkins are not always placed on just the lap. DUH.

I actually know someone who always wears a tie to work, and when he sits down to eat lunch, covers the front of his shirt with a napkin. This would be a perfect fun gift!

LOL, JonathanB! Yeah, I don't know many people that tuck their napkins in their shirt.

Great for a barbeque, or lobster dinner, or crab/shrimp boil! Sometimes it's just great to get messy.

It would be a cool gag gift! I can't believe someone would be horrified. Duh!

lizzykewl, I'm someone who would tuck the napkin into my shirt instead of placing it on my lap. if i'm wearing a light colored top and i'm eating something like spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce, i don't care how silly it looks....i'm tucking my napkin into my shirt! the napkin in my lap does no good since any stains will land on my chest first.
