Before firing up that baby on an apartment deck or balcony, you'd better make darn sure you are not violating fire code. Barbecues and grills of any kind are forbidden in this county for apartments.

And you had best not be below, above, or next to anyone else. People DIE from those fumes.

I see people moan and complain about second hand cigarette smoke, that would take many years to affect them. But they have no problem firing up a barbecue billowing smoke and carbon monoxide that goes right into their neighbor's homes.

And the carbon monoxide can kill you in a few hours.

My inconsiderate former downstairs neighbor did grilling a couple times and I got all the fumes and almost ended up in the hospital. Don't do it. Do NOT grill next door or above or below someone else who may get almost all the fumes in their place.

Says they entered the house and the car was in the garage. I'm pretty sure that the emergency workers were not just loafing around, watching TV, letting the carbon monoxide take it's course.

This is soooo portable. The ideal BBQ grill for camping. The coal briquettes used to cook one meal would weigh more than the BBQ :)

I bought this exact same grill here in the USA, but in stainless steel and for less than $20. From Homegoods.

I love the way that looks (and the fact that Daily Nuance was able to find one for under $20), but after reading True Blue's psa, I'm not sure I'll be able to grill (my building has a shared patio in the back) without being terrified about killing my neighbors. I think I'll be keeping my windows closed this summer. = /
