I've not always loved Pier 1, mostly because I equate the retailer with wicker and quasi-ethnic wares from the late 80's. But I've always liked melamine, that wonderfully durable space age plastic. So needless to say, I'm wonderfully surprised to see Pier 1 offering these potluck BBQ perfect dinnerware and party plate & goblet sets. Love the orange colour, the rounded shapes, and the nosh-'n-sip feature of the party plates. If this is the new Pier 1, we're docking ashore more often.
