Why I use color:
"I use color to make my living space more enjoyable. I can't stand white walls and love coming home to a place that is different from most. On top of that my bedroom was quite dark, even with the original white walls, so I took the opportunity to brighten it up. When I'm out shopping I keep an eye out for matching accessories, such as the picture frame and the lamp. The print was actually an accident - I had it before anything else and it ended up matching perfectly. The photos over my bed are of roller coasters - I took a personal interest of mine and incorporated them into the room. Those are actually from a high-quality calendar, I simply took the pages and framed and matted them. This is a cheap solution for original art.
I had a difficult time taking accurate photos of the room due to the
lighting, but the orange over the bed is the best indicator of the
room's color."
Color Tips:
"1. Don't be afraid to try new colors. When I started painting my
bedroom I was very unsure of my decision, but I think it looks great
now that it's complete. The worst that can happen is you end up
repainting it.
2. Lighten or darken rooms appropriately. I live in a small apartment
and the bedroom only has one window so I painted this room bright orange
to lighten it up.
3. Do the opposite of the norm. Instead of white walls and colored
furniture I have white furniture and colored walls. It's easy to execute
and looks great."

2. Showrooms - Stores go to great lengths to make furniture look good,
so take note of wall colors and accessories and use what you like.
I like it. But I think it needs some punch. Some black, maybe? Not sure. But love the 5 print. Remember seeing that in the Art Deco exhibit at the *mumble* museum. Can't remember the artist, but loved it.

But I'm always a sucker for a bed in a niche. I could also see the niche back wall in another color altogether, to set it off even more.
Can't tell by the pics, but do you face the "I Saw the Number Five..." when in bed? If not, I'd love to see it above the bed, working with that Pucci-esque pillow. But I like the irony of roller coaster images over a bed.
How tall do you need to be to ride THAT ride? ;)

Yes it's opposite the bed, whose alcove is to the left of the mirrored closet you can barely see in the first pic.

The rollercoaster photos remind me of some great ferris wheel ones I've seen on dpcprints.com. Cool.
And I, too, love the 5 print. As we all rush to try to find a copy of it. . . I wonder just how many decorating trends are started by AT?

It's just a Sharp from about 3 years ago, 20", works ok for the bedroom.
