Why I use color:
"Why do I use color? Easy. It makes me really, really happy. I've tried to simplify my life and live a clean and contemporary space. I see rooms like this all the time in magazines and they're beautiful, but they're not for me. Color adds life and warmth and character and so much to a room."

Color Tips:
"Just because you like a color doesn't mean it will look good on your
walls. Use bold colors in art, pillows, and such. Things you can
easily change. Instead of 2 lamps with 75 watt light bulbs, get four
lamps with 15 watt light bulbs. (This may not seem like a color tip,
but trust me it is)"

Color Resources:
Fashion. The color of this room is based on a cardigan I once owned.
Magazines.

Love the pillows and the energy your sunlit greenery brings! Not enough people use plants for color.
A very sweet, pleasant and comfortable bedroom, and I'm sure it's even better when it's negative 70 degrees in MN.
LOVE the molded food/cookbook display art in the last picture!
Ah! Fellow fan of the dim light bulb! Excellent!
This room feels both warm and clean. The best I've seen so far...
Your room feels very homey and comfortable. Is that kids' art in the third picture? I like that.
This is so nice and so minneapolis. I lived there for six years and loved it. Your place is cozy and should have gotten a higher rating. quite beautiful.
IT look slik eseveral different wall/ceiling colors, but I think it is just the way it turns out on screen. You could talk about the color of the walls in each photo?
Anything with a quilt is an instant finalist in my book!
So warm and comfortable-it's exactly the feel I want my apartment to have when we're finished working on it. I love the art and the excellent lighting tip. Beautiful.
