apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Flickr Find: Christianna's Earthly Delights

120408frame-03.jpgWe fell in love with this particular Flickr Find, Christianna's Earthly Delights. A mix of mostly whites and blues with a few hints of brown and pink are all pieced together quite well. Each furniture zone is set up like a vignette with great accent pieces, ideas and fun colors--and we absolutely love what Christianna does with vintage picture frames...

120408frame-03.jpgIn this picture you can appreciate the floor plan and decorating choices (even though the space is quite large, it feels cozy). And we absolutely adore the plates hanging on the wall in the background!

120408frame-04.jpgIn this sitting area, Christianna mixes a vintage dresser with a modern IKEA chair (and alters it by recovering the cushion). We love this edited sitting area with a few slender blue candles and vintage mirror reflecting a view of the opposite space.

120408frame-02.jpgAgain we see a mix of browns and blues (which complement each other amazingly). We love how Christianna decided to keep the bookshelves light and airy towards the top and kept the bottom area stacked with books. We think her choices ground the bookshelf while letting the bookshelf decor flow.

120408frame-01.jpgWe've seen this on AT before but could always use a refresher. Taking small vintage photo frames and adding your favorite decorative paper is a quick and easy way to bring color into your space without a huge commitment--well done!

This is the kind of a space that I come to AT to see. Nontraditional, imaginative, creative.

Yes! I love it when I see a stylish room and can't tell what stores anything came from.

Great place! I love seeing places like this on AT. This looks do-able, not outrageously expensive and impossible to accomplish. Creative and unique!

Is she not allowed to hang anything on the walls? It's nice, but it looks unfinished.

@ Palmetto
I think she might like the plain walls the way they are.
Most people think every wall behind a large piece of furniture needs something hanging on the wall. I have to disagree. Sometimes it is wonderful to be able to see a an entire wall that is well-painted in some color we like without being broken into sections by an art piece or frame. Then again beauty is so subjective.

The room looks awesome - I want to live in it!
