Flickr Find: Dual Desk Setup

atla021508-desk-1.jpgOver at Unplggd, there have been multiple posts tackling the questions of desks for two and sharing home offices. We've also previously posted about solutions for workspaces for couples before (alongside the desk above), noting face-to-face solutions can be an efficient use of space...

Now here's an example of a dual setup from our Flickr friend, halfnoise, that reveals distinct differences in personalities of the couple by choices in their seating, colour and hardware, despite sharing the same choice in desks. Definitely a noticeable masculine and feminine vibe from each side.

Do any of you out there have similar setups with your partner?

I've always loved the dual desk ever since I saw it on the tv show Caroline in the City, years ago. She had a cool apartment too.

The one big problem with this type of setup, is when both people need to have a phone conversation at their desk. Or you just want to get some distance from the other person talking on the phone in general.

We have a one-bedroom apartment and we both work from home. Using IKEA bits and pieces, we built a desk into the bay window in our bedroom ... it lets us enjoy plenty of workspace, great views, and good company while we're plugging away.

I used to have that blue chair at an old job, and it was the greatest, comfiest chair ever! Anyone know what it's called, or where I could find one? Thanks!
