apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Flickr Finds: Curtains Galore

Curtains have returned as a staple of modern interior design, and not a moment too soon. We've seen one too many homes with a great sense of space, ruined with Dilbert-office style window blinds. Ravi Design has posted a Flickr set of photos illustrating how much of a difference a proper window treatment can make, even in a minimal modern space. Check out the wool tweed in the example above...easy on the eyes, literally and figuratively, considering the material's light blocking properties and handsome finish.

Nice Persian rugs in that picture, too. That runner is over 60 years old, judging by the color. I'll take a Persian rug over any other kind of rug, any day.
