Flickr Finds: MidCentury Jo's Striped Painted Floor

Michigan fans, here's one way to celebrate Michael Phelps' gold medal record: paint your floors white, and then stripe 'em with alternating navy and yellow. We spotted this scan from a 1977 interior decorating book entitled How to Decorate Without a Decorator: A Realistic Guide to Interior Design over at Midcentury Jo's Flickr. What do you think?

As a die-hard Michigan fan, I love the colors but I don't like painted floors. As for the buckeye poster . . . well my comment would probably NOT be printable.

Psh, the kid would love that bed? I would love that bed! Sleep on the top, couchish on the bottom. That'd be so awesome in an itty bitty apartment....although for big people it would be nice if it also was bigger. :p
