Hotels are a great resource for inspiration and ideas for your home. Today's feature story in the LA Times Home & Garden section takes a look at several new hotels that have recently opened up in Los Angeles. Check out some more pics behind the jump...

They featured some fun ideas from The Custom Hotel, London West Hollywood, and the Palihouse Holloway.
(Has anyone stayed or been to any of these yet?)

That dog bedspread pic is HAHlarious. If I wanted to sleep in a creepy grandparents' guest room, I'd go hang out with my creepy grandparents! 70s cabin chic is so not happening.

I wonder if The Custom Hotel was having trouble with guests stealing their bedspreads. If they were, the doggy print ought to fix the problem. Seriously hideous.

I like the coffee table, love the bistro chairs and hate the sheets.

I LOVE the bedspread, but would prefer it rotated 90 degrees. Then again, I love themed furnishings.

Interesting that the LA Times should run this article now. Dwell magazine has a design conference in LA on June 5,6 and one of the panels is about the nexus of hospitality and domestic design. http://www.dwellondesign.com
I love some of these hotels.
