Better Homes and Garden's Parkway Plan

There were mixed reactions to the idea of planting the parkway, but you can apply the same ideas (and plants) to any part of a garden. We even found a plan that walks you through how and what to plant in a small space (with little maintenance):

Better Homes and Gardens offers a Low Care Sidewalk Garden plan that looks a lot like the one we showed you last week. This plan is complete with what to plant, how to amend the soil and get the area ready for planting and then how and where to put each plant. All it requires is a one time registration and then you have access to all of their plans and resources.
