Got a Weekend Project?

061608_frontyard.jpgWe usually try and save our gardening for the weekend despite the crushing crowds at the nurseries even at 8 am. This past weekend, we finally got around to getting rid of our dead geraniums and planted some foxglove, delphiniums, and petunias. Oh, and a random hibiscus (total impulse buy). After an afternoon of gardening in the heat, we're feeling pretty productive and looking forward to next weekend's home project. Did you do any home projects over the weekend?

Of course! That is what a weekend is for. :)

Actually I just started a small furniture rehab project for our garden. We have big plans to build a patio this summer, so I am rehabing a cute patio set. Started that this weekend.

Oh, and planted a ton of petunias too!

I started an herb garden this weekend out on my patio. I'm thinking about branching out to strawberries next weekend. I know they sell those pots with all the little holes in them for strawberries, but are they also fine to plant a few of them in a large container? I'm new to gardening...

Painted the upstairs bedroom from previous owner's FOREST gag green and Capuccino trim to light blue walls and ceiling and white trim.
Hung some paintings we've had in storage.

Oh, and made pastitsio and brownies. Yum!

Saturday mornings my lady works and I don't... so I always spend a few hours tidying, dusting, mopping, and organizing around the house.

This weekend I'll also be doing some more planting in my container garden, getting the tomatoes a bigger home, and looking for a metal patio table and chairs to rehab for the back yard.
