Microcosmo Table Lamp: One Part Lamp, One Part Terrarium

120308-table-lamp-microcosmo.jpgFormia's Microcosmo Table Lamp combines two of our decorative accessories in one product: lighting and terrariums. The side openings provide ample ventilation while an integrated top light bulb shines some photosynthesis-giving love from up above so your favourite catcti or succulent friend can grow in the limelight...

Sadly our terrarium at the moment is empty (we moved our succulent garden outdoors for the winter for more sunlight exposure), so seeing the Microcosmo has inspired us to start planning a new indoor garden. What to plant this time around? Probably a tropical mix again.

I would think it would work better for orchids (provided it can take some humidity) than cacti... is that light intense enough for them?
