Trees for a Green LA

trees-for-LA-05-19.jpgIf you're fortunate enough to have an outdoor garden area to call your own, a little known city-wide program worth taking advantage of is the LADWP's Trees for a Green LA. After completing either a 20 minute online workshop or 1 hour neighborhood presentation, you'll be able to choose from 40 varieties of trees, up to 7, and have them delivered right to your doorstep! Please note renters must receive prior approval from their property owner before trees will be delivered and mail in a completed Property Owner Consent Form.

http://www.ladwp.com/ladwp/cms/ladwp005310.jsp - this is the link to the residential program - the one posted is for the non-residential program

b52sioux: Thanks for mentioning the additional link. The non-residential site was linked intentionally, since apartment renters need to use that particular program, but I should have included the link for home and property owners also. Cheers!

More tree-related stuff at Arbor Day:

And if you can't plant a tree yourself, give a swell pewter leaf that helps plant trees:

Or here in holiday styles (ornaments or neck pieces):

Or here, apparently all over:

Can you imagine a holiday tree covered with shimmering leaves? Ooooh. Ahhhhh.
