Getting organized: Jack Cards

12_07jackcards.jpg

I don't know about you but one of my resolutions this year is that to get my personal calendar organized so that I won't forget another birthday again. If you're anything like me, I start out each year with good intentions and my mid-March I'm flying by the seat of my pants when it comes to sending out birthday and anniversary cards. I think I've found the solution though with Jack Cards.

12_07jackcard4.jpgA unique online system that you can build an account of all your important dates and events, Jack Cards will send you a reminder a couple weeks out so that you can log on and pick out a card for your special someone [or do it all ahead of time if you're that organized]

In addition to the reminder and your order, they will also stamp the envelope and address it. All you have to do once it arrives is sign your name [or perhaps I'll actually have time to write something now] and pop it in the mail.

Normally with a site like this, I would imagine the cards to be a bit grammie-esque but their online inventory is as good as my favorite card shop carrying everything from letterpress to funny, cute cards.

A girlfriend of mine has already given the site a test run with two dates and has been very impressed with their delivery turn around and even the proper stamp price for those pesky square format cards.

12_07jackcard2.jpgIf you prefer to fly by the seat of your ical you can also log on and "buy now" like a regular ecommerce site. To be honest, I'm not quite sure how they pull off the pricing as it's on par with shopping at a store with so many more perks thrown in. I won't question it at all, just use it to my full advantage. Or if you're sweetheart is as awful as I am with dates just sign them up so they never leave you empty handed again!

I buy a pleasing desk calendar and insert notes 2 weeks before important dates to get a card/make reservations/whatever.
