2005 Un-Gift Guide: CD/DVD Label Maker is from Acoustica

christmas-cd-label-rotated.jpgHere’s a little gift for you to get for yourself, but it also becomes the gift that keeps giving.

This CD/DVD Label Maker is from Acoustica ($21.95). We all know that homemade CD’s are the gift to beat, but we personally hate those Staples disks covered in sharpie-scribble. Even if it is music we love, it goes to the bottom of the music pile.

However, getting a home made CD with funky hand-made label in a cool covered jewel case really makes a difference, proving that putting in the extra effort pays off.

Or you can go one step cooler and get pre-screened CD-Rs from 5inch.com - I've been giving out holiday mix cds on these for years and they're always a hit. Plus, a 3 or 10 pack (or one of every design they have) makes an AWESOME gift for the music/mixtape junky in your life.

Every year I put together a mixed CD for my friends and was looking for new labels.
Does anyone else have any other label ideas?
Thanks!

you can go one better and get a lightscribe burner-
which you can easily get online at amazon, or lightscribe.com, that actually laser etches an image or text onto the other side of the cd- and they're not too expensive-

You can always design your own labels and use the office color laser printer!

I did one this year. See URL. Found snowflake graphic via GOOGLE IMAGE and pasted it up with VISIO - but you could easily use MSWORD.
