I could definitely use some help as we just moved and are trying to put together a new space. We sold our last place pretty much fully-furnished so we've started from scratch which is fun but overwhelming!

OMG, so jealous! Its my fantasy to sell everything I own and start from scratch. Also to move to another country and reinvent my entire identity, but that's another issue.
I'd start with a big stack of source material and do a presentation board - furniture ideas, paint and fabric swatches. Hang it on a wall and play around with it.
And buy nothing unless you absolutely love it i.e. no settling.
