I'm particularly interested in this bed from Target. But I'm of course nervous to make such a big purchase when I can't see the piece in person. Does anyone have experience with buying a bed from Target? Or even this one in particular? My biggest concerns would be that it's not structurally sound or that the fabric is of noticeably crappy quality. I'd love anyone's advice on the topic I can get.

I don't have that particular bed, but we bought a different bed from Target a few years ago and have been very pleased with it. I was really hesitant about buying a bed from Target too, but I had been looking for a long time and couldn't find anything else I liked in our price range.
Ours has an iron headboard and footboard and came with the frame they attach to, and all of the pieces have held up very well. When I bought ours, it was something we could have returned to a store and not had to pay shipping back, so that was a factor for me.
I do notice that on their website the furniture ranges from super cheap, to more expensive, so I kind of think you get what you pay for.

That is a beautiful bed! After seeing your post I checked out all of Taregt's upholstered beds- I'm so impressed! There was only 1 review I saw and it sounds like it was from a very happy customer. Luckily, Target has a great return policy, so you can always take it back if you aren't happy! Buy the bed- I'm excited for your bedroom to feature such a pretty piece!

I didn't even know they sold beds. I'd like to hear more feedback too.

i have a dear friend that works at Target. Her response as I was oogling over the pieces was that their furniture was cheap.
As a matter of fact. If you go into the Global Bazzar area every year you can see as the pieces sit on the floor pieces began to come off wooden furniture and the fabrics began to unravel on the chairs and ottoman...
However, Target seems to be a good compromise. So as long as you take care of the pie es...they may last for some time.

I think you're better off getting an upholstered headboard and coordinating bed skirt until you're able to afford a more expensive one. I think you'll have better luck with fabric quality and construction going the headboard only route.

I purchased an entry table from Target. The piece was really affordable, the perfect size, and has a modern clean look. Only issue is that it has two drawers and one does not sit as deep as the other when its shut (off by about 8mm - yes I notice that) BUT for the price (and an issue that most other people would never notice) it was a great purchase. It has been strong and sturdy I've been really happy with my purchase. The catch all drawers however imperfect the line up work like a dream. I too was convinced by the fantastic return policy at the time and fortunately never had to.

We just bough this chair from Target: http://www.target.com/Athens-Upholstered-Chair-Cinnabar/dp/B001TIIJ78/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=0&searchView=grid5&pf_rd_r=1DK5NP9MNH4RTDQ0MZ6H&node=1038576&pf_rd_s=center-3&field_browse=1038576&searchSize=30&pf_rd_t=301&field_availability=-2&id=Athens%20Upholstered%20Chair%20Cinnabar&refinementHistory=subjectbin%2Ctarget_com_age%2Ctarget_com_gender-bin%2Ctarget_com_character-bin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&searchKeywords=athens%20chair&pf_rd_p=490276191&searchNodeID=1038576&pf_rd_i=0&field_launch-date=-1y&searchRank=relevancerank&searchPage=1&pf_rd_m=A1VC38T7YXB528&field_keywords=athens%20chair
AHH huge link - but I was skeptical of the quality but it arrived, we assembled it (way easier than anything we've ever put together from Ikea), and it's super sturdy, the fabric is beautiful and really nice quality. Very pleased with our purchase!

i bought a trestle desk from target. when it arrived, it seemed like it was okay. but when we put the desk together, the screws tore out the intended holes so nothing really attached together and we ended up just placing the desk top on top of the trestle legs with no secure attachment. then after a few years we upgraded to a nicer desk. so i would agree with queenbee1230 - save your money til you can afford a nicer one.

i purchased a very similar headboard from target. mine has one less row of buttons. i love my headboard and felt that the quality was much better than the price. i did a lot of research and the same headboard was available on other websites for slightly less but Target seemed like the most reputable website.

I'm not real familar with Target furniture, but I ordered a bed from Ikea and it was made so cheap! I ended up having to buy another bed within a couple years. This time I shopped online & found a great bedroom set with bed. It has a leatherette headboard & is really attractive. Very happy with my purchase. It is solid wood & made very well. You might want to check out their beds at http://www.ILikeFurniture.com. Hope you find what you are looking for.
