Good Question: Getty Center gallery wall colour?

Marie in Minneapolis inquires: I have a color question for you. After visiting L.A.'s Getty Center over the summer, I fell in love with the color used on the walls in one of the galleries. It's a warm purple-grey, but I'm hoping someone can identify it for me (Benjamin Moore or a close match to another common paint brand).

I love this question, both because I am fond of the Getty Center itself (particularly for their always inspiring photography exhibits) and also for the fortuitous fact that my better half works at the Getty Research Center! it reminds me of Pratt & Lambert's "Cafe Gray" which is more of a brown than gray and shows purplish in low lights. hope that helps!

I remember watching a documentary about the construction of the Getty Center, and if I recall correctly, all those interior colors were custom blended (having gone through quite a few test swatches) on site.

You know when you go to the paint store to have a color custom matched? There's a portable gadget that does that, that could possibly be taken to the Getty Center to match the color. But it's pricey.

Never been to the Getty but i'm looking at some Benj Moore swatches I have...2 look like they could be close...:
#2115-30 amazon soil and #2115-20 "incense stick" (the darker of the two...both on the same swatch card. Sort of purplish-browns, hope that helps
