Ryan writes in asking about our opinion about armless modular seating. Feel free to chime in with your opinion and help Ryan make a decicsion:
How do you feel about square-ish, armless, modular sectionals? They seem to be a little more versatile than sectionals with larger, side-specific pieces, and the openness seems inviting, but is the whole look just too clunky? I’m trying to fit both the dining table and the living area in the space (18x19 roughly), which has concrete floors and is sunken one step lower than the surrounding rooms (kitchen and hallway on hardwood floors). Does heavy-looking furniture work when it’s a step down, or would you want something lighter?
