Good Questions: Good Lampshade Resources
Los Angeles

110508goodquestlamp.jpgHi AT, I found this lamp in a local (Phoenix) vintage/estate sale store. It came with this shade and the guy who sold it to me said that he put it on the lamp because it didn't come with one. What shape and style of shade would look good with this lamp, or should I stain this one? Can anyone source one for me, either online or in a store? Thanks! -Cyndi

If you have a fabric you like or think would workwith it, cover the shade. If the top bulb is the same as the other 3 I might just leave it bare and go for the sputnik look....Its cute.

the shade seems really pointless...I've never seen a lamp like that with a shade. I say nix it and just feature the tiered bulbs.

these lamps originally came with a lucite or smoked lucite half dome shade. they are very hard to find complete and its equally hard to find the lucite dome seperately. i actually think the lampshade is a witty contrast to this iconic 70s lamp. that wicker lampshade can be hard to find too, seems like you can find another great lamp to match that incredible shade and go solo with some crystal clear round bulbs for your chrome lamp.
