It's a hanging chair, and it's shaped somewhat like a tortilla chip, with one point of the triangle at the top, and the other two points of the triangle curving down to form the seat. It looks like it's made of wicker or some sort of wicker-like material.
I know I've seen this online before, but I can't recall where. It was also shown on Project Runway, in the first episode where they introduce the contestants. Laura Bennett, the 42-year old architect with five children, had several in her living room, and the scene was of the kids swinging and running around pell-mell.

Hooray! I can't believed I missed something as obvious as Ikea. Thank you for posting this, Gregory, and thank you Turquoise for the find (and I guess I won't be carrying this after all, but I will be using it as a hang-out spot in the store). When I'm in the thick of store renovations/design in a week or two, I'll post any tricky problems--you guys rock.
