There was an article entitled "PB Teen Bedroom Inspiration" on Feb. 29, 2008, written by Laure. One of the last picures of the article contained a pink comforter with colored circles on it and a white deer or reindeer head mount with a scarf around it and Christmas ornaments hanging from the antlers. My daughter fell in love with that room but I have searched and searched online and cannot find the deer mount. Any ideas?? Thanks, Janis
Why not steer your daughter to an animal-free solution, like this

I have a green and pink bedroom and I'm 39 but I dont' get the deer things on the wall, why do people have these?

I'll bet you can make it out of paper mache and then filled with door foam.

Etsy has a number of choices too. Here's one http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_gallery_1&listing_id=20561482&ga_search_query=deer head&ga_search_type=tag_title.
They do tend to be a bit expensive though.
I have this Cody Foster one on my wall

It's small but I think it's pretty cool

I just want to say I love the way the pillows are arranged, making the bed sort of a mini sofa. This would be great in a studio apartment.

the deer heads that a few people on etsy use could be found on ebay. i bought one about a month ago and plan to spray paint it white. search for wall deer head. costs about $50.

ok, so this is the one that i have:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Buck-Deer-Head-8-Point-Whitetail-Wall-Mount-Log-Cabin_W0QQitemZ310118240359QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item310118240359&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A4%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
so it looks like the price has gone up to $60, but it's free shipping and all online stores who use to have them stopped selling them. painted cream (or whatever color you'd like) it would look very much like the more expensive options listed above. there are some pics of them painted white on flickr, but sorry i don't have the links. hope that helps.

Gregory, it looks like the one in the pic IS an animal free option.

I would involve your daughter in this project and make one. teens are notoriously fickle, and this is a rather trendy item anyway, so I wouldn't spend much money on it. use newspaper strips (much easier than pulpy paper mache) and starch or a water/flour mixture (you can look up different methods for paper mache paste online).
first crunch/ball/roll up (non-starched) newspaper and shape it into the vague deer form, using tape to hold it together, to form a base to work off of (you could also use foam pieces or other objects aound the house). wrap the forms in plastic wrap if you want to be able to take some of it out, but the smaller pieces like the antlers and ears will need to stay solid to keep things easy. start applying the newspaper stips after dipping them in the starch. you'll need several layers for it to be strong. as the layers build up, you can add some details like the shape of the nostrils and eyes, (though the one in the picture doesn't look terribly detailed). when you're done, leave it out until it's very dry and quite hard. spray paint it your desired color and voila! (you can also use some colored tissue paper as the top layers to add a neat textured effect if she wants color.)
