Good Questions: Where Can I Find This Wall Mount Plate Rack?
Los Angeles

I've finally found EXACTLY what I want, but unfortunately, don't know where I can buy it! Does anyone know where I can find a plate rack like this one the one shown at Better Homes and Gardens?"

You can have it made... Or maybe try and go to Home Depot and see what happiness awaits in the Lumber section!

I bought one very similar from Exposures, it was years ago but appears to be the same one.

This is similar. It's used for magazines, but maybe would work for plates. http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/p158/index.cfm?pkey=cshelving-pegs-hooks|k

that also looks like it can easily be a shoe shelf also. I've seen people use those in many different ways other than storing shoes.

My friend has one on the inside of her closet door for scarfs. It's great.

If you aren't handy enough to try to make it for yourself, you could have one made for much cheaper than any (less attractive and not the right style) alternatives online. Just take this picture to someone who does carpentry and ask them to make it for you. You can even tweak it to add more width or height, if you so desire.

Otherwise, I'd suggest you try to contact BH&G's Customer Service and ask if they can share the source of the one they show in the picture. You can reference the article on their site that features it here: http://www.bhg.com/decorating/decorating-style/cottage/plate-display-ideas/

Here are directions to make a similar wall rack for books. I bet it would work for plates. http://www.marthastewart.com/good-things/making-childrens-bookshelves?autonomy_kw=make%20a%20book%20rack&rsc=image_1

wouldn't the PB magazine rack pockets be too deep for dishes? otherwise that is really nice.

Hey Everyone! Thanks for the great ideas! I think the PB magazine rack is actually too narrow for dishes - or atleast the serving platters I had in mind, from the pictures. I'll have to talk to my Mr. Man and see if maybe he could make one for me. (I have a phobia of power saws)
