I saw some similar fabric at Joann's recently- you might be able to make one cheaply.

Target's Shabby Chic line has something similar, but with less smocking. It's called the Smocked Duvet Set. It's on sale right now online - $76 for king and less for smaller sizes and free shipping (go through ebates and you can get some $$ back too). It's in the brick & morter shops and I have looked at it a lot, but I'm on the fence. I don't know the quality of this line, but it seems to have gotten good reviews on Target.com. Link is below.

I got mine at Bed Bath & Beyond, but it was a few years ago. I don't know if they still have it. I spent $80, if I remember correctly.

I also have a duvet very similar to this which I bought HERE for under $100. Sadly, it appears to now be out of stock but perhaps you call them, bug 'em, and get them to search their warehouse.

I agree with Robyn -- just keep checking Anthropologie web site until it goes on sale. It will take a few months from when it was first introduced; but when they go on sale, they are $99.

I purchased a very similar version of that duvet (in pale green) at anthro last year/2 years ago. It was on sale for $86ish. Totally worth it in my opinion - it has even made a trip or two through the wash and held up fine.

anthropologie had the green one on sale a month ago. it is super cute...also, dkny pure had a similar one a couple years ago so you might want to google/ebay it. good luck!

oh, in addition to my last comment--i just purchased a similar blanket from ikea for $19.99...part of the ofelia line. it isn't on their website but was pictured in their latest flier.

i own this duvet in the cream color, and can't say enough good things about it. i feel like marie antionette everytime i get in bed. i got the whole set: dust ruffle, pillowcases, etc.
i get tons of compliments on it as well

You could always check around for Austrian curtain panels and sew them on top of a plain duvet.

I just grabbed a few, but there are sure to be other colors and materials that you might like that could go on something you already own.

For that matter, if you find a panel of the right size(s), you could simply drape the panel over top of anything.

I own both and I cannot say how disappointed I am with the cirrus! If I still had the packaging I would complain and try to return it. After I washed/dried it there were a million loose threads on the top. It looks like cheap fabric. And it's a weirdly large size so the comforter gets twisted immediately.
I recommend the West Elm version. Looks great, and is twice the quality for half the price. The only reason I got the anthro one was the gray color and how nice anthro made it look in the pics...so not worth it. I bet the west elm blue one looks about the same color in person.

To MariaBelle above: A friend of mine had a similar experience with a different Anthro comforter. While this might not say the best things about the quality of their bedding, she took it in to the store (almost two years after purchasing) and they let her choose a completely different one for free, no questions asked. It's worth a shot!
