Leather Repair Recommendations?
Good Questions

072909goodquest01.jpgQ: I live in Los Angeles and need to get the chair fixed. Its actually not in bad shape, the wood is perfect, but the leather needs to be treated and the arm straps need to be repaired. However, this chair was in my parents' house when I was growing up so it has sentimental meaning and I want to find a someone who will repair the leather with a lot of care. I haven't been able to find too many leather repair shops or leather experts here in LA...

i bought a Wassily chair at a garage sale last year and the leather needed some work. I took the chair apart and brought the leather pieces to my shoemaker and he restitched and cleaned them up and my chair looks as good as new. It cost me about $140 (the chair itself was only $60) but it was well worth it.

I live in Los Angeles and know a lot of people who can help restore your chair.

For leather repair and cleaning try:
Mark the Carpet Bagger in Santa Monica

For re-upholstery try:
Structure (323) 731-9903
Robles Custom Furniture (323) 933-1784
