Yes, and just one place. I had several different "places" for the same kinds of stuff and ended up buying when I didn't need to etc.

Sparkle, i was thinking the same thing! the minute I grab anything from that pile, I'd end up with tons all over the floor and then i'd probably shove it all back haphazardly.

Maybe it's just not in view, but if you have that much space dedicated to sewing, it seems there would be alot more fabric. :/ my fabric runneth over...

Amen to that quote! But with kids, unfortunately, that is pretty much impossible to achieve. My 2 year old leaves a wake of toy clutter wherever he goes. I would drive myself nuts trying to clean up after him. I'm sure when my 5 month old gets big enough, the clutter will multiply exponentially. Someday my house will be tidy, someday.

Those look to me to be fat quarters for quilting and they do stack nicely if they're all folded the same way.

I think I need to pop this quote on the fridge and think about it for a couple of days... then walk around and put everything that isn't in its very own place in the "out box" - oh I can't wait to purge a few things!!!

Everything has 3 places. 1. Where it belongs. 2. Where you use it. 3. Somewhere on the way from 2 to 1.

I will now be tackling my "craft closet" this winter to make it into a pretty and tidy little sewing oasis this winter. Thanks for the inspiration. Oh...and I too am compulsive about keeping my stacks of fabric neat and in ROYGBIV order.
